Overclockers have managed to push the limits of the GALAX GeForce RTX 5090D HOF, reaching 3.27 GHz clock speeds, and establishing a new world record.
GALAX’s “Custom-Made” GeForce RTX 5090D HOF Shows Its Superiority in the GPU Market, Achieves Multiple New Records
The overclocking “vibes” are finally back with NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series GPUs. This time, the “China-specific” GeForce RTX 5090D leads the way.
Chinese overclocker Micka managed to break records in an overclocking competition held by GALAX, and they managed to do so with the GALAX “Hall of Fame” XOC GeForce RTX 5090D, which, by the way, was designed to feature 2x 12V-2×6 power connectors, which is a follow-up to the early prototype we saw a few weeks back, and by the looks of it, the implementation was indeed a successful one.
Based on the latest information that we have, the GALAX GeForce RTX 5090D HOF features 36 VRM phases including 4 VRAM and 4 MSVDD. This is an updated and finalized HOF OF LAB design which comes with dual 16-pin (12V-2×6) connectors for up to 1200W of power.

GALAX has always been pretty active in holding such overclocking competitions, which is a testament to the company’s efforts to keep the “enthusiast” segment of the GPU market alive. The variant that managed to achieve the record was specially created by the AIB’s “OC Lab” team, and it is pretty different from what GALAX offers with its HOF variant, which is intended for the retail market. Overclockers managed to achieve 17,169 points in the 3DMark Speed Way, with the GPU frequency topping up to 3277 MHz, creating a new record.

Interestingly, on the same occasion, the Greek overclocking team “OGS” also managed to break records with the GALAX HOF XOC GeForce RTX 5090D, obtaining 59,072 points in the 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme project and 25,040 points in the Unigine Superposition – 8K Optimized.
GALAX is so proud of the achievements that they are promoting them on their official social media handles, and this shows how far the company has gone into promoting the overclocking culture.
The following are the records achieved by OGS:
You might have this question in mind as well, but sadly, the GALAX HOF OC Lab GeForce RTX 5090D isn’t expected to be available for retail consumers, given the expert supervision it requires to operate at such high frequencies. Up till now, the GALAX HOF was the only GPU to be categorized as one intended for the enthusiast GPU market, and this is certainly something we have missed, especially lineups like the EVGA Kingpin.
